Getting To Know Me
I was born in Brooklyn, NY and after two months, I told my parents it was too noisy there so they bought a farm off Exit 25 in Cape May County, NJ. :) That’s where my love of nature began. To me, nature photography is all about stepping back from the stresses of daily working and living and settling into the calmness being offered by God’s masterpiece called Earth. My philosophy is that I cannot improve on what I see in Mother Nature. I shoot what I see and choose not to photoshop or manipulate the results.
I have been fortunate to travel this great country and have been helped by my former profession, Procurement & Supplier Diversity, as it took me to trainings and conferences across the United States. One such conference led me to have lunch with a Yakima Tribal Nation Counselor named Arlen Washines. He was generous enough to invite me to shoot photography on over 2 million acres of their lands in Yakima, Washington. It was there, the morning of September 11th, 2001, that we heard about the attack on the World Trade Center. You will find a particularly poignant photo in the gallery from that day.
Besides trainings and conferences, flight attendants, hotel clerks and restaurant servers were very helpful and excited to share their local secrets that showed off natures beauty in their neck of the woods. Other times I would pick up a map or just start driving back roads and find quiet places with picturesque scenes.
My purpose with this website is to offer you the opportunity to come along with me as I share places that struck me as unique. If you find one such place or object that touches you, you will find multiple purchase options from archival prints, canvas and metal prints that you can select. You also have the option to add mats and frames which are custom made to order to finish your special piece. The canvas prints are hand stretched over the custom frames.
Whether you are looking for some relaxation in your home, office or business, I have included some short stories to help you make your selection. If you are looking for a gift for someone and know their tastes, you can order and ship it directly to them.
I’m starting this website with 50 – 60 photographs and will continue to expand into multiple galleries. My objective is to help you to relax and destress vs. overloading you with e-mails. If you sign up for e-mail notices, I will be sending out an e-mail once a month introducing you to the featured photo(s) and then two e-mails in November and December. Of course, if you leave something in your cart or place an order and have questions, I will respond by e-mail. Your privacy is as important to me as my own, so I will not share or sell your contact information. Thank you for stopping by and enjoy your visit.
